Harry
McFarland
- In 1964 Harry McFarland and Steve Federico
started The Miami Dade Jr. College Table Tennis
Club.
- In the 70's Harry created the City of Miami
Youth League comprising 380 junior players
between the ages of 8 -16 years of age. The
junior league is still in operation during the
City of Miami summer program.
- In October of 1980 Harry saved South Florida
table tennis by moving the Miami club to Legion
Park.
- Harry and Caron Leff created the Robert King
High Park Table Tennis Club in the 80's, still
open today.
- In 1986 along with Bard Brenner was
successful in getting grant money for the
Capital Bank US Open.
- From 1986 to 1990 along with Caron Leff
successfully received grant money each year to
help run the Capital Bank US Open.
- Between 1970 to 1988 Harry and Steve
Federico made the final of 37 doubles events,
winning 35 of them.
- 1992 over 40's champion at the Space Coast
Open.
